Prior to B is for Brand, I was actually the proud owner of a cleaning company called Lossiemouth Cleaning Fairies! That’s right, I’m a Branding Consultant and a Cleaning Fairy all rolled into one…

You might be wondering how on earth these two seemingly unrelated careers are connected. Well, let me tell you why this unique career path makes me a good branding consultant.

Firstly, as a former small business owner myself, I understand the challenges and struggles that small business owners face. Over the course of Cleaning Fairies life, I recruited, employed, trained and managed well over 50 staff of my own. So I know how crucial branding is for a business, regardless of its size – starting right there with the recruitment process.

I’ve experienced first-hand what it is that you actually need to do in reality (not just in theory) to build a strong brand that helps your business stand out from the competition.

What’s more, my experience as a Cleaning Fairy has given me a keen eye for detail.

This attention to detail translates seamlessly into my work as a Branding Consultant. My tag line for cleaning fairies was:

‘We don’t cut corners, we clean them.’

I still apply that same ethos to my business now.

Finally, let me tell you that over the years, my strange career path has helped me develop both a sense of humour and self-reflective nature. When it comes to client relationships, that helps me to bring a relatable perspective to the branding process.

I strive to make the branding process enjoyable for my clients, by injecting a bit of light-heartedness into our interactions. I’m not just a consultant who gives instructions from a distance, but someone who genuinely cares about your business success and is willing to go the extra mile to ensure satisfaction.
